MEET MELISSA

Therapist. Yoga Teacher. Fellow Human Being.

I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, become curious about our experiences, and reconnect with ourselves with greater compassion. Whether you’re navigating the effects of trauma, life transitions, anxiety, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to live, therapy offers a place to begin again.

My role isn’t to tell you who to become—it’s to help you uncover the strengths, resilience, and wisdom that have been there all along.

MY PHILOSOHPY

Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken.

I don’t believe people are broken.

Many of the ways we think, feel, and respond today began as intelligent adaptations to difficult experiences. Together, we’ll gently explore those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, honoring the ways they once protected you while creating space for new ways of relating to yourself and the world.

My work is rooted in the belief that lasting healing happens when we care for the whole person—not just symptoms. That means acknowledging the connection between mind and body, understanding the impact of past experiences, and moving at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.

WHAT WORKING WITH ME FEELS LIKE

Thoughtful. Collaborative. Grounded in Authenticity.

Some sessions may involve processing difficult memories through EMDR. Others may focus on understanding protective patterns using Internal Family Systems, building practical coping skills, exploring emotions, or simply creating space to slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying.

There is no single roadmap. Therapy is tailored to your goals, your experiences, and your pace.

Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported.

    Therapeutic Modalities

Healing happens in many ways. Our work together is compassionte, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices that honor the whole person.

    EMDR

Helping the brain and body process experiences that remain “stuck.” EMDR supports the nervous system in reprocessing difficult memories so they become integrated rather than overwhelming.

    Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Understanding the many parts that make you who you are. Together we’ll explore protective parts with curiosity and compassion, creating more internal balance and self-leadership.

    Body Centered Therapy

Body-Centered Therapy Because healing isn’t only cognitive. Trauma often lives in the body. Gentle awareness of physical sensations, breath, movement, and nervous system responses can help restore a greater sense of safety and regulation.

    Mindfulness & Nervous System Regulation

Developing practical skills to help you return to the present moment and respond rather than react.

    Ready to begin?

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Let’s connect and explore how we can work together to support your healing and growth.
