INSURANCE & FEES
Investing in your well-being
Therapy is an investment in your emotional health, relationships, and overall well-being.
Fees
I am not currently in-network with insurance plans. Private pay fees are as follows.
Initial Intake Session (60 minutes)
$160
Individual Psychotherapy (60 minutes)
$140
Extended EMDR Session (90 minutes – 120 minutes)
$190-$320
Sliding Scale
I believe quality mental health care should be as accessible as possible. A limited number of sliding scale appointments are reserved for clients with financial need. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more about availability.
Why Private Pay?
Choosing not to participate with insurance allows therapy to remain focused on your needs instead of the requirements of an insurance company.
Private pay offers several benefits, including:
- Greater privacy and confidentiality
- No mental health diagnosis required for reimbursement
- Freedom to tailor treatment without insurance limitations
- Greater flexibility in the frequency and length of therapy
- A more personalized therapeutic experience
While insurance can be an important resource for many people, I have chosen a private pay model so I can provide care that is individualized, flexible, and centered on what is clinically appropriate for you.
Out-of-Network Benefits
Although I am not currently in-network with insurance plans, some clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Because every insurance plan is different, I recommend contacting your provider to learn about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
Good Faith Estimate
If you are paying for services yourself, federal law gives you the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. If you have questions about your estimate or the cost of treatment, I’m happy to discuss them before we begin.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments without notice, may be charged the full session fee.
Consistent attendance is an important part of the therapeutic process, and this policy helps ensure appointment availability for all clients.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does therapy last?
Every person’s journey is different. Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific concern, while others choose longer-term work for deeper healing and personal growth. We will build a treatment plan tailored to your unique goals.
How often do we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. As therapy progresses, we may transition to meeting every other week based on your needs and goals.
Do you offer EMDR virtually?
Yes. EMDR can be highly effective in a virtual setting, and I use adaptations that allow us to safely and effectively complete EMDR sessions online.
What should I expect during our first session?
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin developing a plan that feels supportive and personalized to you.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the healing process. I offer a free consultation so we can discuss your needs, answer your questions, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.
Do you work with adults only?
Yes. I currently provide psychotherapy services exclusively for adults (18+).
What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on the service provided. Please visit the Fees & Insurance page for current rates, accepted insurance plans, and payment information.
